Common questions.

What's included in a full compliance panel?

A full compliance panel includes potency (cannabinoid profiling), terpene analysis, pesticide residue screening (66+ compounds), heavy metals (Pb, As, Cd, Hg), microbial contamination, mycotoxins & aflatoxins, residual solvents, and foreign matter inspection. This covers all requirements under Puerto Rico's DACO cannabis testing regulations.

How do I get samples to the lab?

We offer on-site sampling across Puerto Rico for a $65 fee. Alternatively, you can drop off samples at our San Juan facility. All samples are logged into our Confident LIMS system immediately upon receipt with full chain-of-custody documentation.

What's the turnaround time?

Individual panels return in 3 business days. Microbiology requires 5–7 business days due to incubation. A full compliance panel — which includes microbiology — takes 7 business days from sample receipt. Rush service is available — contact us for expedited options. Results are delivered digitally through your Confident LIMS client portal.

Do you offer rush testing?

Yes. Rush turnaround options are available for an additional fee. Contact us to discuss your timeline and we'll confirm availability and pricing. Rush is subject to lab capacity.

What is HLVd and why should I test for it?

+

Hop Latent Viroid (HLVd) is a pathogen that can reduce cannabis yields by 30–50% and degrade cannabinoid and terpene profiles. It spreads through contaminated tools, clones, and mother plants — often without visible symptoms. Green Hills Labs detects HLVd via RT-qPCR with no false negatives. If we find it, our sister company Plantera Bio can supply disease-free replacement plantlets from tissue culture.

How do I access my results?

All results are delivered through your Confident LIMS client portal. You'll receive an email notification when your COA is ready. COAs can be downloaded as PDF, shared via QR code, or accessed through a permanent public link for your retail or distribution partners.

Do you offer volume or contract pricing?

Yes. We offer discounted rates for high-volume clients and long-term testing contracts. R&D tests also have built-in volume discounts when bundled with compliance panels or submitted in batches of 10+. Contact us to discuss a custom pricing agreement.
